Back at Salamanca

This week we're back at Salamanca, with some exciting new displays and our vinyl wall decal range is bigger and better than ever (we might also have a couple of little Christmas options here if we can get them finished in time...). We have a fantastic new kids design with a very cool Elephant, and all our kids designs are now in 4 colour options - Pink, Blue, Green and Purple.

Sshhhh.... there's an elephant in the room.....

We are trying to get everything sorted with our online store ASAP, if there is something you don't yet see that you would like either send us an email and we can arrange it, or pop in this Saturday - we will have a full range available (unless its a ripper day and then its first in best dressed!).

Come check out what we have on offer, our entire product range make great gifts at a variety of price points.

We are at site C45 which is up towards St David's Park - look for the big Jasmine Rose signs, we'd love to say hello if you can make it!

Our wall decals.... UPDATE

TWO MORE DESIGNS and an Online Store!!!

Well here are the first of our wall decals - they took Salamanca by storm last weekend and generated much interest. In fact we've just finished packing up our first interstate order - in the first week!!!

These really are just the start, and we welcome orders for custom designs or just our standard designs in colours to suit you... simply click here to email us and we'll see if we can help.

The designs that follow are all in stock and are available from our market stall, or through our online store - all made from locally sourced materials and done by us. Make sure you check back regularly... later this week we will be adding a products page to our site so you can quickly see what we have available in stock at any point in time.

7th August - Salamanca Market

We'll be there again this weekend. You'll find Jasmine Rose near the Retro Cafe.

I have a busy week ahead of restocking brooches and screen printing more cards for you. I have a few new designs on the run this week.

Saturday just gone was surprisingly a lovely day in the end. I was a little worried about the rain factor but the weather was rather friendly - yay :) It was great to meet some new friends of JR. Hope you'll all pop back and see some of the new things.

Catch you at the market :)

Cheers,
Miriam

Mathilda's Market & Many Many More To Come...

Well we have been and done Mathilda's Market in Hobart. It was such a lovely day hanging out with all our market friends and meeting new and old customers! Here are just a few snapshots of JR's set up and a few new-ish products for you to see.

I was next to Itty Bitty. Ellouise makes cute'o little clips, button necklaces and a whole bunch of other bits'n'pieces. It was so lovely to chat with another mummy and share ideas all things baby :) And on the other side Dean & Philippa from the Hobart based photography studio Zanzo.

We have a few markets coming up in the next few weeks and months so keep an eye out on where we'll be next.

This weekend, however, JR will be at Salamanca Market (opposite the Retro Cafe, right in the middle of the market). Hope you can pop in and say hi.

Enjoy the winter sun!

We’re so excited! THIS Saturday 17th July, we will be showcasing our wares at Mathilda's Market. This is a fabulous niche market that offers unique, stylish and affordable baby & kids goods that are lovingly handmade or of limited production. The retailers are hand picked to ensure an exciting product range. It's a kid's shopping heaven. Better yet, most of the retailers do not have a shop front, so you know you'll find something special, not available anywhere else. Please come and see our stand at Mathilda’s Market from 9am to 1pm at the Hobart Function and Conference Centre, One Elizabeth Street Pier, Hobart. Entry is free! With gorgeous wares, yummy food and kids’ entertainment, Mathilda’s Market is one of Hobart’s best shopping destinations for the little ones. For a sneak preview, have a look at the website (www.mathildasmarket.com.au) and enjoy a browse through the photos of all participants. I look forward to seeing you there!

The Market 4th July

We are out selling again...

Jasmine Rose will be at The Market on the 4th July.

Hope you can pop in and visit us at this lovely market!
Also... I am on a mission to get my little owl tag softies finished today. We'll see how my little Max goes (if he sleeps or not :( - let's hope he has some good 3hr sleeps today *fingers crossed*!). I am hanging out to get a few more "kiddy" things made ready for Mathilda's. Collages and MORE softies. For my collages I am getting a few matryoshka doll images together, they are looking so cute! Can't wait!!!

I hope to see you soon!

The Barn Market - June - Done & Dusted!

Here's some pics from the June Barn Market:

That's all I have time for for now....

This baby of mine is asleep in my arms and it is VERY tricky to type :P

New Look

My hubbie is awesome for many reasons! But today I want to brag about JR's new look packaging and display.

Jade spent many days researching the display of art & craft products and he spent many nights putting my new look packaging together.

Check out the below photos of some of our stock and how Jade has made it all look so flash :)

These ones below are actually items I am discontinuing.
So if you catch me (hopefully next Saturday 19th June) at Salamanca
you may just find yourself a lovely little sale on these few things.

I hope to catch you at our next location!

New stock and New designs

oh... AND... A NEW SPACE!!!

I think I have finally taken over our bottom rumpus room as my space for creativeness :) NO I have taken over LOL!

It is a HUGE area and Jade is making it into a very lovely area for me to keep all of my 'mess'. We are building a purpose built L-shaped bench (one I can stand at or use a tall stool) and we'll eventually put in some shelving for storage. I SOOOOO can't wait for it all to come together!!!

The lovely space that STILL DESPERATELY NEEDS SORTING!!!
(and taken with my iPhone - sorry for the quality)

I have been on a wee mission for some time now to update some of my designs for my prints. AND I have finally started! I have in mind a few series. I have only started with the kitchen and damask series so far, but I am well on my way in developing the other two/three series: It is so much fun coming up with new designs!

Check out the few photos below of some of my prints framed (these designs also come as cards - the frames with multiple prints are fairly large - if you want to know sizes shoot me an email).

Don't forget, if you like any of my products and are unable to attend the next market I am selling at, send me an email and we can arrange the purchase for you that way if you wish.

Hope you like :)

Cheers,

Miriam

The Barn Market - 5 June

It is almost here again... The Barn Market @ Rosny Park. Hope to see you there :)

Just look for our marque outside.

It's been a while

WOW! The last few weeks have flown by! AND I have been rather slack with my blogging! But hey, I have one baby boy to play with now, so I have been a little preoccupied! Max was born on the 7th May via c section. He is a little trooper a great sleeper (so far) and a very hungry monkey! We have been blown away with how beautiful and perfect he is! Check him out...

Our amazing little boy Maxwell Henry

There have been a few other things that have gone on in my world in the last few weeks. Jasmine Rose went to Launceston for two markets. One was at Civic homespun on 13th March and the other was Niche on the 30th April/1st May.

Niche layout...

ohh dear... I almost forgot the handmadehobart market (15/16 May). I managed to pop in briefly on the Saturday and was able to stay for some time on the Sunday arvo. Again - a HUGE thanks goes out to Helen who took care of our site both days and to my AWESOME hubby who went in bright and early to set up the jasmine rose stock and was there for the pack down!!! You two are very cool! Heaps of love to you both!

AND TODAY!!!!! We did Salamanca for the very first time! AND OH MY!!! It was FREEZING COLD! Note to self... take leather gloves, hat and put on thermals! Especially for winter! It definitely was an experience! Here are a few shots of the day and the set up (and my little trooper who made it through the day)...

ALSO I have been creating NEW things :) I just can't help myself! Jasmine Rose is planning some new things for the remainder of 2010. We are branching out into the kids domain with some very cute & cool products. Here is a little sneak peak of my cute'o wall plaques and I also have a few other things that are currently being developed. Keep an eye on the blog for what is in store :)

Children's Wall (or shelf) Decorations

Along with the children's line, I have been developing a few designs for my screen prints. I have been collecting some funky 'home things' over the last little while with the intention to photograph them and turn them into prints. I have finally started to work on these. I'll get a few photos up shortly to show you how they turned out. I have to say that I am in love with them :)

So there you go, a wee update on all things JR. I hope you and your family are well and keeping warm this chilly Autumn.

Hope to see you at the up coming Barn market on the 5th June.

xoxo

Niche Market - Launceston

Well, as I sit here WAITING for my baby to rock up, I am finally updating my blog.

Helen (from Pili Pala Pieces) is in Launceston manning both of our stalls at the niche market (I very much wish I could be there!!!) - THANKS SO MUCH HELEN - I owe you ;).

Whilst being on maternity leave I have been diversifying my range (whoops :P I just can't help myself!!!). Check out my softies and teacup candles, I think they are very cool.

You should pop in and check out the many goodies you will find at the nice market. Don't forget that mother day is just around the corner - you may find your mum something very special & unique.

Enjoy!

The Barn Market - April 10

It's looking like another fab day in Hobart town this coming weekend :)

If you're home form your Easter holiday, come check us out at the barn market @ Rosny park. We'll be there in the courtyard, just look out for the Jasmine Rose & Pili Pala Pieces marquee.

My lovely has been hard at work and has re badged Jasmine Rose :) Check out my little montage...

Helen & I had a fun time at Civic Homespun the other weekend. We had a late drive to Launceston due to the arrival of my new niece :) and I wanted to check out this little bundle of love before I was off...

Unfortunately I was rather poorly organised! I forgot to bring breakfast :( So we left to find the market and had plenty of time to unload and set up. We had a great little patch there at the market. It had a lovely feel about it. Very friendly and I loved some of the products there! I did refrain however from spending all of my money... I did buy some VERY yummy apples! I just wish I had bought two packs! So yum! Jonagold's :) my Fave!

Whilst Helen was off seeking potential stockist in Launceston, I was back at the market chatting and chatting and chatting with stall holders and customers. Twas fun :)

If you're in Launceston the 2nd or 4th Saturday of the month, you most definitely should check Civic Homespun out!

Anyways... Enough of my jibber jabbering :) I must get some roast veggies on for din dins :)

Hope you have had a FAB Easter! Christ is risen :)

Hope to see you at The Barn Market next Saturday!

See you there,

Miriam

I am very excited about the NEW presentation of my products :)
My LOVELY husband has spent several nights and many hours re-designing my labelling and packaging for all of the Jasmine Rose products. YAY :)
Keep an eye out for what he has done - thanks babe :)

Anyways... I must get some stock ready for next weekend.

Hope to see you there!

The Barn Market - 13 Feb 2010

The Barn Market - What a day it was! I had SO much fun with all that happened there. Helen and myself had a ball selling and partaking in this day. Along with selling, I mostly chatted with all of the stallholders and also spent time sharing a crafty technique, paper marbling. The workshops went down so well. SO many people had questions and were keen to learn something new!

Here is a little montage of our space from the day and a few details of our pieces. Click on the image to view it larger.

If you want to see some more photos from the day and more of the stallholders goodies check out this link below! Tim spent several hours shooting away and he took some awesome shots. He has posted them on flickr - check them out - Top job Tim!

I really enjoyed the buskers! Their sounds were great to have in the building. Oh and I love the barn building so much! I love sandstone!!! anyways...

Hope to see you all at the next market I'm at.

Cheers,

Miriam

New Year 2010... What does it hold???

Well 2010 is going to be a rather large year for my family, extended family and myself!

Firstly Jade & I are expecting! YAY!!! April/May is the when 'it' is due... and a boy is he :)

Secondly... Helen & I are getting The Barn Market up and running. It is all happening! 13 Feb is our first date and it is at The Barn in Rosny park (near the almighty Eastlands) 10am-3pm. Check out the blog for that... http://thebarnmarket.blogspot.com/ VERY EXCITING...

And third... (but probably the most important at the mo) I am suppose to be re-writing my art curriculum for school and collating ALL of my gear so my lovely new friend & art teacher can take over my department from april to the end of the year! Lets see how that goes :) as I am THE BEST procrastinator EVER!

OH AND... what new arty/crafty creations am I going to come up with this year??? I love my frames, so I will be making a few more of those but also freshening up the designs. I have a few articles of clothing I am wanting to make for my little man, myself :) and for my customers at the market...

So I guess we'll see how the new year unfolds...

Just in retrospect... 2009... It was a great year all round!
I gathered together enough products and guts to get involved in the markets around Hobart {thank you girls (Rebecca, Shannon, Holly (the market) & Julie (the beach market)) for getting us involved}. It was a fab year learning new things, meeting new friends and learning how to best display our products has been rather rewarding!
Thailand was an amazing place to visit! WAY too many memories flood back and it is so hard to choose which ones to share! So here's a little photomontage from that trip...

Life in '09 has been a little bit of a roller coaster... Happy days, heartache, love and plenty of friend and family time :) I love my family & adopted family heaps and have loved the support that they have shown us over the past year. We surly couldn't have done it without them!

Anyways, enough of the sentimental stuff and off to the sewing room I go :)

Much love and thankfulness for your support over the last year!

Cheers,

Miriam
